We have just received this nice pair of sequences showing the Great Central Railway's BR Class 5 Standard 4-6-0 no 73156 in action on two different goods trains whilst running-in after a major overhaul. These were filmed at Quorn & Woodhouse station and near Rabbits' Bridge and show the immaculate locomotive at the head of the GCR's rake of "Windcutter" mineral wagons and then returning with a mixed freight. This also neatly shows how the GCR has become probably the leading heritage railway in its use of goods stock.
