In conversation with... Julian Holland

Julian Holland has had a passion for railways since he was very young - he still has all of his trainspotting notebooks dating from the early 1960s! After 35 years following a creative career in publishing he started to write about his love of railways. In more recent years he has contributed to many bestselling books on railways and has more recently written several of his own, including 'The Lost Joy of Railways' and 'Dr Beeching's Axe 50 Years On: Memories of Britain's Lost Railways'. In this segment Julian discusses his views on the closure of lines during the 1960's.
