Once again, rather than showing various trains with rather unrailway like "Santa" decorations, we look back over an eventful year on the railways of Great Britain, starting with the welcome return to service of the Severn Valley Railway's BR Standard Class 4 4-6-0 no. 75069. This engine, a former Southern Region machine, had had a previous career as a main line registered engine, painted in a spurious BR Green livery but now, although it no longer has a main line ticket, it looks "correct" in its BR Black livery. We see it on 16th February at Kidderminster and the top of Eardington Bank as it returns from Bridgnorth.
