Editors Notes:
Always a highlight of the year, the annual "Great Britain" tour, the twelfth iteration, was beset with problems due to the changing availability of locomotives. We've previously seen some of it but here we see one of the most interesting highlights on the line from Ayr to Stranraer on Thursday 2nd May when the double-headed train left Glenwhilly, high on the moorlands, behind nos (6)1264 and 44871. We then see "Flying Scotsman" on the last day, Sunday 5th Ma, topping the climb from Sheffield at Dore& Totley and being checked as it came round into sight - because of trespassers.
