On Thursday 18th June Steam Dreams ran an excursion from Southend East to Winchester with no. 61264 "Mayflower" at the helm. The train is seen on the outward journey at Battledown/Worting Junction where it was just one minute late, having made up no less than 19 minutes of lost time after the Chertsey water stop! The ECS, from Winchester to Eastleigh, is then seen departing from Eastleigh station in order to run round the track behind the Works to turn the whole train. The engine would then take the ECS back to Winchester to reload the passengers for steam haulage back as far as Southall, the diesel completing the run to Southend.
