On a day on which no less than six main line railtours were run we see the Tyseley-based double-chimney "Jubilee" no. 45596 "Bahamas" getting under way after a stop at Abbotswood Junction near Worcester to allow the passing of up and down trains on the main Midland line here. Notable was the use of a whistling class 20 (the London Transport-liveried no. 20142) at the rear of the train for use at Hereford to reverse the train. The regular green-liveried class 47 was undergoing maintenance at Tyseley.
