The appearance of a heavyweight Rebuilt Bulleid Pacific on the Wensleydale Railway over the weekend of 21st/22nd July 2018 was a surprise to most enthusiasts. It was a last-minute arrangement as the Railway was expecting some form of visitor but, due to the fire-risk season, there were few available. Just a week earlier arrangements were made for 35018 "British India Line", which was stationed at York for the summer season "Scarborough Spa Expresses" to be towed down the East Coast Main Line where it became the only working steam loco on the Wensleydale line so far this year. Here we see it with a somewhat heterogeonous collection of stock leaving Wensley on its first run. The little village lends its name to the whole area and, of course, to its famous dairy products.
