On the same day that "Cheltenham" was filmed on the Mid-Hants Railway in glorious sunshine, Sunday 15th September 2019, the weather north of the border was quite horrendous with gale-force winds. The West Highland Extension's series of afternoon "Jacobites" had come to an end the previous day so the Peppercorn class K1 mogul of NELPEG was no longer required at Fort William but was needed at Grosmont 10 days later for the NYMR's Autumn Gala. Thus it ran, engine and coach, homeward bound; we see it passing through Carstairs station en route to the Moors.
