No less than three major heritage lines held their Spring 2019 Galas over the three days from 8th to 10th March, the Mid-Hants, East Lancs and Worth Valley lines. Our first scenes show the two visiting engines to the Mid-Hants - an ex-GWR Pannier tank in London Transport maroon livery as no L91 and a USA-type 0-6-0 tank in Longmoor Military Railway blue livery as no 300. They are both seen on the first day (the Friday) at Medstead & Four Marks station, the Pannier heading westwards "down the Alps" whilst the USA reaches the top of "the Alps" from the west. Medstead & Four Marks station is currently the Mid-Hants' temporary eastern terminus as the line has been severed at Butts Junction whilst a new road scheme is installed.
