On a beautiful early Spring morning with near-cloudless skies (although a bit chilly, but that gives spectacular smoke and steam effects) the Mid-Hants Railway's BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 was given a "slot" before the start of passenger services of which Warwick Falconer and Matt Allen took full advantage to run a charter with the engine. It was the Penultimate Day of March.
